HERO BYSTANDER DISARMS BONDI BEACH GUNMAN, SYDNEY AUSTRALIA Two gunmen have opened fire at Bondi Beach with at least 12 people killed.

Gunfire was reported to police just after 6.40pm on Sunday, sending hundreds fleeing from the beach as officers raced to the scene. Footage showed two men wearing black and firing what appear to be shotguns from atop the footbridge behind the surf club. At least 12 people were killed in the shooting with 29 others rushed to hospitals across Sydney, NSW Premier Chris Minns confirmed on Sunday night. The hero who disarmed gunman was among those who were fatally wounded The dramatic moment may have prevented further injuries as beach goers ran for their lives.
